Unusual natural phenomenon struck residents of Brazil
MOSCOW, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti. In the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina around the sun was a optical phenomenon of the halo, writes Globo.
Unusual natural phenomenon, the Brazilians were able to observe the 26th of February. The halo was visible in the state capital, florianópolis, and also in several nearby cities.

The halo is around powerful light sources — mostly the sun or the moon. Mostly this phenomenon occurs because of ice crystals in Cirrus clouds in the upper troposphere. Reflected and refracted by the crystals of light often gives a halo of rainbow color.
