29 Jan Valiyev was sentenced to 15 years and six months penal colony, and Mangazeev for 16 years, according to a press release from the TFR.

In the summer of 2016 they were sentenced to nine and seven years in a penal colony for the attack on the Federal forces at the village of Chervlennaya, on 4 October 1999. The militants were part of the group “Black dogs” under the leadership of Shamil Basayev.
