The families of the victims of the crash in Ukraine MH17 won a lawsuit against Igor strelkov
In the United States, the court upheld the claim of relatives of 25 victims of the disaster Malaysian Boeing in the South-East of Ukraine against the former Minister of defence DND Igor Girkin (strelkov). The court granted a class action lawsuit in December 2017. the decision States that Girkin should pay each of the applicants $20 million — $10 million in moral damages and another $10 million in damages.
The probability that Girkin will pay “virtually zero”, according to ZEMBLA. According to relatives, the court’s decision is symbolic. It is necessary to attract the attention of the world community to the problem.
“If these people somehow make me pay the money, then I will have to live the next thousand years. More comment I have nothing,” commented RBC Girkin.
