Trump was going to increase the defense budget of the United States

In February, the President of the United States Donald trump will propose to the Congress a draft defense budget for 2019, which planned to increase spending on defense by 13 percent compared to last year to 716 billion dollars.

It is reported by The Washington Post, citing sources in the U.S. government.

The allocated money will go including on military operations and sustaining the nuclear Arsenal of the United States. In addition, trump hopes to increase funding for the Pentagon next year by seven percent compared to 2018.

The publication notes that the idea to amend the military budget is the Minister of defence James Mattis. He advocates a reorientation of the army in the deterrence of military threats and “possible prevention of such powers as China and Russia.”

The Ministry of defense and the White house did not comment on a possible proposal to trump.
