MOSCOW, January 26 — RIA Novosti. The company Arianespace has announced the loss of the carrier rocket Ariane 5, launched on Thursday from Kourou in French Guiana, reports Spaceflight Now.
The launch occurred on Thursday at 19.20 local time (01.20 Friday GMT). On Board the rocket were two satellites communication SES 14 and Al Yah 3.
CEO Stephane Israel reported that communication with the rocket was lost after turning on the engine of the second stage. The fate of the satellites remains unknown.
