The state Duma adopted the law on currency salary working abroad Russians
MOSCOW, 24 Jan — RIA Novosti. The state Duma plenary meeting on Wednesday adopted in the third final reading of a government bill that allows people living abroad to the Russian citizens working in Russian companies, to be paid in foreign currency.
“The bill passed”, — said the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin in the voting.
The purpose of the adoption of the law is to “provide opportunities for outside of territory of the Russian Federation citizens of the Russian Federation of a salary and other payments connected with performance by them outside the territory of the Russian Federation of their duties under an employment contracts concluded by them with legal entities — residents, in foreign currency,” reads the explanatory note to the bill.
The document also provides for the possibility of salaries in foreign currency on accounts in banks of the Russian Federation to diplomatic personnel and citizens who are sent to work abroad by the Federal agencies.
Earlier in accordance with the requirements of Russian currency legislation resident working abroad, can receive their salaries from their employers (legal entities — residents) only in the Russian currency on their accounts opened in authorised banks.
