Cinema chain in the city changed the deadline of the premiere of “the Adventures of Paddington 2”
The network of cinemas “Illusion” in Vladivostok, left in hire a film “the adventures of Paddington 2”, despite the decision of the Ministry of culture to move the premiere from 18 January to 1 February.
This was announced by the General Director of a network “Illusion” Anton Alekseenko. Now the film is listed in the schedule of the cinema, but to buy a ticket for it.
Anton Alekseyenko told the newspaper PrimaMedia, now that the company has no technical possibility to change already published on many sites the schedule of pre-sales. In his opinion, such decision cannot be considered a violation of the law, since the network is not notified about the transfer. The head of “Illusion” also said that the film has a rental license issued by the Ministry.
“My point is this — I don’t agree with this policy of state intervention in the industry unilaterally. What to do in such cases, should resolve the cinemas in each case to adjust the schedule to replace the movie in the session, or return the tickets,” said Anton Alekseenko.
The Ministry of culture changed the premiere date of “the Adventures of Paddington 2” for the support of Russian films — “move up” and “SKIF”. Association of theater owners criticized the decision of the Ministry. The Association stated that the Ministry of culture grossly interfere in their activities and causes economic damage not only to cinema but also to distributors.
