Vitaly Mutko will organize a tourism summit

Deputy Prime Minister, Vitaly Mutko headed the organizing Committee for the preparation of the 23rd session of the General Assembly of the world tourism organization (UNWTO). The order was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Regular session of UNWTO will be held in St. Petersburg in 2019. The organizing Committee also includes Deputy Minister of culture Alla Manilova, St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, the head of the Federal tourism Agency Oleg Safonov, head of the Department of tourism and regional policy of the Ministry of culture Olga Yarilova, representatives of the foreign Ministry, interior Ministry, Federal customs service, Finance Ministry, transport Ministry, the FSB and other agencies.

Recall that in late last year (December 27) Mr. Mutko said that resigned as Chairman of the organizing Committee of football world Cup “Russia-2018”. The international football Federation (FIFA) in this regard issued a statement in which they reported that FIFA had “taken note of the decision of Vitaly Mutko to resign…” and “thanks Mr. Mutko for his invaluable contribution to the preparation for competitions”. A few days earlier the Vice-Premier also suspended for six months its activities as head of the Russian football Union.

With the decision of the International Olympic Committee for life to remove Mr Mutko from participation in the Olympics in any capacity Deputy Prime Minister not agree, on which 27 December last year, he sent a statement to CAS (court of arbitration for Sport).
