PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 31. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin in a new year’s address wished the Russians an important change for the better, and also thanked the citizens for their faith in Russia. Traditional President’s speech was aired in the Eastern time zone of the country, where has already come 2018.
“The new year is primarily a family holiday. We celebrate it, as it was in childhood with gifts and surprises, with great warmth, with the expectation of important changes. And they will come into our lives, if each of us will always remember about your parents, cherish them, appreciate every minute you spend with them, if we are more aware of their children, their aspirations and dreams, and to support those who are near, who needs our support and generosity of soul,” – said Putin.
In the last minutes of the outgoing year, the head of state urged all “to tell each other the most cherished words, forgiving, grudges, hug, confess their love, warm care and attention”. “Let the new year in the life of every person, every family will be a change for the better, health for everyone, children to be born and that they please us,” he wished. “I want to sincerely thank everyone for believing in ourselves and in our country, for the work and its results. May the trust and understanding always accompany us,” the President added.
Putin also congratulated “those who are currently working, performs military or professional duty, on duty in hospitals, leading planes and trains”. “We are together in this beautiful new year’s eve. We are together in our common daily activities. Solidarity, friendship, unselfish love for Russia multiply our strength to worthy deeds and great achievements,” he said.
“Wherever we were – at the family table, in good company, festive streets, United by upbeat Christmas mood, and modern technology allows us to share our feelings with loved ones, which can be hundreds of thousands of kilometers,” – said Putin. He wished all the citizens of your country success and prosperity, “peace and prosperity of our beloved and only Russia”.
