“Although 2017 was a year of terrible humanitarian crises, 2018 may become even more gloomy,” said Mordaunt.

The publication notes that the Department for international development, the UK also announced the allocation of an additional 21 million dollars to the UN Fund for overcoming of consequences of humanitarian crises. It is expected that these funds will be used to provide drinking water and sanitation 13 million people, nine million will be provided food with the additional help of the British Ministry. Annual contributions of Britain to the Central Fund for emergency response at the UN is $ 55 million.

As told the Secretary of state, UK will continue to provide humanitarian assistance around the world.
