Russia has refused to issue a visa to the United States Senator from the “black list”

U.S. senators-Republican Ron Johnson and John Baracco refused to travel to Russia after the Russian Consulate did not issue visas to their colleague, the Democrat from the state of new Hampshire Joan Shain. This writes the newspaper Politico.

According to the publication, the senators had intended to visit Russia in January to meet with “the next generation of Russian leaders and official policies applicable to understand the prospects for Russian-American relations.” The delegation was aware that Shain will not allow to enter the country.

“The decision to deny a visa unsuccessful and counterproductive to improving international relations,” said Johnson.

Later in the Russian Embassy explained that Shain is included in the “blacklist”, created by Moscow in response to us sanctions. “We didn’t create this situation. We have repeatedly offered to Washington to lift the sanctions as harmful tool for international policy. What is sown — then shrugged,” summed up the diplomatic mission.

Shain has actively supported anti-Russian sanctions, as well as campaigned for a ban on the use of the software is “virus” in American public institutions.
