Russia will reduce the number of airfields available to the US under the Treaty on open skies.

MOSCOW, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti. Russia will limit to the USA from 1 January 2018, the number of airports that you can use U.S. aircraft-observers under the Treaty on open skies, RIA Novosti military-diplomatic source.

“The number available for US aerodromes since 1 January will be reduced. We are talking about bringing the list of aerodromes in accordance with the contract. This step is a mirror in response to the declared U.S. action against Russia, which also plans to introduce from January,” — said the source.

According to him, we are, in particular, about the US intention to close Russian observers airspace over Alaska, Hawaii and to limit the flight range.
