The CEC refused to register Navalny as a candidate for the presidency
Centrosarca at this meeting, refused to register the group of voters created for support of self-nomination as a presidential candidate politician Alexei Navalny.
Earlier, the CEC said about the impossibility of the participation of Mr. Navalny in the elections, as a politician have a conviction.
The initiative group for nomination of the opposition gathered in Serebryany Bor on 24 December. His nomination was supported 742, just the group included 753 members (by law, the group size should be no less than 500 people).
Similar meetings of initiative groups were held on the same day, in 19 cities of Russia.
Yesterday, Mr. Navalny said that in case of refusal of the CEC to register him he will call all the other candidates “to disrupt the elections” and “to do” five days before a vote.
