The Russians told how much they need the money for a decent life

MOSCOW, 21 Dec — RIA Novosti. Average Russian for a decent life should be about 40 thousand rubles, said General Director of the Russian center for public opinion studies (VTSIOM) Valery Fedorov.

According to him, the issue of “decent income” this year for the first time included in the pre-survey.

“The average in this year amounted to 39 thousand 404 rubles per person per month, in order to not just live but to live with dignity,” — said Fedorov.

The last time a similar survey was conducted in 2007. Then the Russians believed that for a decent life, they need 30 of 457 thousand rubles.

“Despite all the crises, rises, rising inflation and then decline, this figure has grown over ten years is quite low — only a quarter”, — said the head of VTSIOM.

He added that the survey results vary depending on the region: for example, in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the amount to be able to live in dignity, is 56 634 thousand rubles.

The idea of a decent standard of living affects the level of education. According to Fyodorov, people with higher education value their jobs above: they need 45 thousand 395 roubles.
