Cashier’s checks can help the CEC to increase the turnout at presidential elections
MOSCOW, December 20. /TASS/. Receipts with information about the date of voting may be one of the instruments of notification of citizens on presidential elections of the Russian Federation.
Experiments in several Russian regions have confirmed the effectiveness of this type of information, and now the CEC has with retailers consultations on the possibility of using this technology inform voters about the presidential election, told TASS Director of relations with state bodies of X5 Retail Group Stanislav Naumov.

Naumov also confirmed that his company participates in the consultation with the CEC about the possibility of use of checks of trading networks to embed information about the election date.
According to TASS, this technology alert voters about voting, how the use of till receipts as carriers of information have been used in the 2015-2016 elections in several Russian regions and has been found to be successful. According to expert estimates, the increase in turnout in these subjects of the Russian Federation amounted to 10% compared to the predictions of sociologists.
The Russian presidential election will be held on 18 March 2018.
