The militants of the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia) attacked the district at-Tadamon in the South of Damascus. It is reported by Telegram-channel 4 Directorate, which deals with the review of the activities of terrorists, citing the Agency Amaq.
According to the IG, they captured several key positions in the area. During the clashes were killed and wounded several Syrian military.
On 11 December President of Russia Vladimir Putin visited the military base in the Syrian Mamimi, ordered to begin the withdrawal of Russian troops to their permanent deployment. He noted that Russia’s Armed forces and the Syrian army for two years, “defeated the most efficient group of international terrorists”.
Putin then said that if the militants “will again raise the head, then we will inflict on them such attacks, which they still have not seen”.
