Yatsenyuk told about the oral order of Turchynov to use weapons in Crimea

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that performing in 2014, the acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov gave an oral order to use weapons in the Crimea. The words of the policy leads the TV channel “Gromadske”.

During the court session on the case of treason, the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych he said that he was personally present at the meeting, during which the National guard, air force and Navy have been ordered “in any case not to pass any objects to pass and to use the weapon for protection”.

Yatsenyuk held in the case of a witness, also declared that Yanukovych “did not appeal in court his removal from power in February 2014 and, therefore, recognized its legitimacy.”

On 2 November the former head of the armed forces General staff Yuri Ilyin said that the Ukrainian policy in February 2014 was going to drown in the blood of Crimea, but took no action to preserve the Peninsula as part of the country. According to him, Vitaly Klitschko, occupying now a post of the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, promised that the Peninsula “will go even harder than with Kiev,” and the leader of the party “Freedom” Oleg Tyagnibok said that the Crimean people “wash their blood”.

Crimea became part of Russia after the March 2014 referendum in which the majority of voters the people of the region supported this decision. Kiev, the EU and the USA refused to recognize results of plebiscite. In Moscow insist that the accession of the region conform to the norms of international law.

Mass protests in Central Kiev and other Ukrainian cities, occurred in the winter of 2013-2014, resulting in the country the power was replaced. The demonstrations were accompanied by clashes with police. During these events killed 106 people. In February 2014, the Verkhovna Rada declared that Yanukovych is no longer President and left the country.
