Roskomnadzor has blocked the “Open Russia”

Website traffic Mikhail Khodorkovsky “Open Russia” announced the lock from Roskomnadzor. On approval of the portal, the page is not opened through most ISPs.

Also referred to blocking “Open University”, “Open elections” and the website khodorkovsky.ru. It is reported that the reason was “the information containing appeals to mass riots, extremist activities, participation in mass events held with violation of the established order or distribution of information materials of foreign or international non-governmental organizations whose activities are deemed undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation”. The initiator of the ban was the Prosecutor General’s office.

On the website of Roskomnadzor really indicates that access to these sites is limited. While currently in the Moscow region, these portals are available for viewing with the two large mobile operators.

In April the Prosecutor’s office said that the activities of Open Russia, founded by the former head of YUKOS oil company Mikhail Khodorkovsky, “aimed at instigating protests and destabilizing the internal political situation in Russia.”

“Open Russia” appeared in 2001. In 2006, the organization ceased operations after the seizure of all accounts. She resumed work in November 2016.
