Czech President Milos Zeman at the Prague meeting “Freedom and direct democracy”, said that the European Union is showing cowardice in supporting Israel and acting in the interests of the Palestinian terrorist groups. Reported by the Czech newspaper České Noviny.
“Cowardly, the EU is doing to Pro-Palestinian terrorist movement prevailed over the Pro-Israel movement to which I belong,” said Zeman.
His words the head of state reiterated the fact that in September the European Parliament has provided a platform to the activist of the popular front for the liberation of Palestine Lyle Khaled. The front is recognized as a terrorist organization in the EU, USA, Canada and Israel, and the Khaled participated in the capture of an American passenger plane in 1969.
Milos Zeman also supported the decision of the American President Donald trump on moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. According to Zeman, the Czech Embassy should be in Jerusalem.
Earlier it was reported that most of the leaders of European States opposed the decision by trump to move the Embassy.
