OTTAWA, December 10. /TASS/. More than 40 people were hospitalized due to carbon monoxide poisoning on a farm in the town of Caledon the canadian province of British Columbia. On Sunday told television station CTV.

As explained in the Ministry of health of the region, was hospitalized 42 people, 10 of them in serious or critical condition. The incident occurred in one of the greenhouses.

According to preliminary version, people were poisoned by carbon monoxide due to the possible failure of a gas engine washing machine that is used for cleaning the premises.

At this farm for over 20 years grow cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers, which are supplied to different countries of the world.

Delta is about 30 km South of Vancouver, the largest city in British Columbia.
