In new York city hosted a parade of Santa clauses and snow maidens
Hundreds of father frosts and snow maidens marched through the very heart of new York city on 9 December.
They took part in the annual parade of Santa Claus, which started from Saint Nicholas Cathedral and proceeded to the main Christmas tree of Manhattan in the square at Rockefeller center, according to NY1 News Spectrum.
Parade of Grandfathers frost and snow maidens are held in new York for the fourth time, but this year it coincided with the procession of Santa Claus. Heroes of the Russian winter fairy tales were handing out sweets and Souvenirs with symbols of Russia and of the New year, and the main Christmas tree in Manhattan danced the round dance to the song “Tree”.
According to the President of the society “Russian youth of America” and the coordinator of the campaign of Igor Kochan, in 2017, the parade of Grandfathers frost will be held in Florida, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California, Michigan and Illinois, reports TASS.
The traditional festival of Santa clauses was held in the UK, reports REN TV.
