The international football Federation (FIFA) will begin retesting doping samples Russian players since mid-January, 2018. About it reports The Daily Mail.

According to the publication, the organization will conduct a special analysis of the tubes to establish the possibility of illicit opening.

FIFA officials said they will act by the method of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and world anti-doping Agency (WADA). “World anti-doping Agency has informed us and other international federations that analysis of samples may begin only from mid-January of 2018,” said the Federation.

8 December, the press reported that FIFA will get new information about doping in the Russian team from WADA. An unnamed informant gave the Agency the database of the Moscow laboratory of doping tests in the period from January 2012 to August 2015.

On 6 December the President of the IOC Thomas Bach said that the FIFA should request information from the head of the IOC Samuel Schmid, concerning problems with doping in Russian sports. At the moment the evidence of the players doping was not found.

In November, the Commission Schmid admitted guilt of the Russian athletes in the machinations of the doping tests at the Olympics in Sochi. Served as a proof of scratches on the test tubes with samples. According to the IOC, this fact indicates that the vials were opened. Previously, the same conclusion has come and WADA.
