MOSCOW, 5 Dec. /TASS/. A major fire broke out on the territory of the correctional colony of special regime for life-sentenced prisoners “White Swan” in the Perm region. About TASS reported in the emergency services.
“In the colony burns administrative building on an area of 1.8 thousand sq. m. the Fire was rated the third number of complexity”, — said the source.
According to preliminary information, the fire started on the roof of the building. Data on victims are not present.
In the operational headquarters TASS reported that people in the start of the fire in the administrative building on the territory of the penal colony was not.
“People in this building were not. There were no injuries,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
“The evacuation of prisoners is not carried out, they are contained in other buildings, which the fire, according to preliminary data, not threatened,” — said in turn in the emergency.
Penal colony No. 2 in Solikamsk of the Perm territory is one of the few colonies in Russia for those sentenced to life imprisonment. It the sentence about 300 people (murderers, rapists, members of gangs, organized criminal groups).
The colony was redeveloped for life-term prisoners in 1999. Its mode is one of the most rigid of the colony there was no escape.
