Putin visited the Academy of arts for people with disabilities

MOSCOW, 5 Dec — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday got acquainted with educational process in the Russian state specialized Academy of arts (RGSI) — the world’s only creative University for people with disabilities.

In the Academy building in the center of Moscow at the Kiev station the head of state was met by the rector RGSA Alexander Yakupov, who gave Putin the explanations during the inspection. The President first went to music class, where in his presence a fifth-year student of the faculty of music Anton Belousov performed on the piano, “Hungarian Rhapsody No. 10” by Liszt. In the same room was an exhibition of paintings of Moscow and far Eastern landscapes — authorship, Deputy head of the faculty of fine arts, Professor Oleg Loshakova.

Putin also visited the theatre room and watched a rehearsal performance by students of the anthem of the Academy is song “Melpomene” (Pakhmutova/Dobronravov) — in sign language.

Then the President visited the computer room of the Academy, and the exhibition of technological devices for the visually and hearing impaired.

After the completion of the inspection the head of state went to a meeting in the Academy with people with disabilities and representatives of relevant NGOs.
