Mountain in North Ossetia was named in honor of special operations Forces

MOSCOW, 5 Dec. /TASS/. One of the peaks of the ridge Sodor in North Ossetia, was called the mountains of special operations Forces. The corresponding decree of December 2, signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

“In accordance with the law “On names of geographical objects” and on the basis of proposals of the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia — Alania to assign the name “mountain of Special Operations Forces” an unnamed hill with coordinates 42°50,1′ North latitude, 43°45,1′ East longitude and absolute height of 3 939 meters, located on the ridge of Sodor on the territory of the IrAF district of North Ossetia”, — the document says.
