The Prosecutor demanded 10 years in prison for speaker

The Prosecutor asked for the former head of Ministry of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev 10 years in prison on charges of bribery. Speaker guilty, the Prosecutor considered it proven and confirmed by the statement Sechin.

The state Prosecutor Boris Neporozhny asked for 10 years jail term for former Minister of economic development Alexei Ulyukayev, reports RBC in Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow, who on Monday, December 4, proceeded to debate of the parties on the case speaker.

The former Minister also asked to sentence to a fine of five times the amount of bribes and to deprive of awards and titles.

“I ask to deprive the speaker the title of the honoured economist of the state awards, and class rank of the order “For merits before Fatherland”, — demanded Neporozhny. The court also proposed to deprive the speaker the right to occupy positions in the public service.

Protection representative speaker of Darigan, Queeze responded to the Prosecutor’s office requested the punishment to its client with the following phrase: “We heard in the courts, wow!..”.

The speaker was arrested on the night of November 15 last year after receiving a bag with $2 million (over 130 million); the head of “Rosneft” Igor Sechin in the company’s office at the Sofia embankment, followed from the indictment. According to the version of state charge, the speaker Sechin demanded a bribe as a thank you for the approval of the transaction on purchase “Rosneft” shares of the company “Bashneft”, owned by the state (50.8 per cent).

Prosecution speaker began after Sechin wrote a letter to the FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov. The statement was also signed by the General of FSB in resignation Oleg Feoktistov, who was then Vice-President of “Rosneft” for security — he later oversaw the rapid development of the speaker and, according to “Russian service of BBC”, was in the office of “Rosneft” during the meeting, the Minister and the head of the company.
