Named the date of resumption of issuing visas of the USA throughout Russia

U.S. Ambassador to Russia John huntsman announced that on December 11, the American Consulate in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will resume issuing visas to Russian citizens. On Monday, 4 December, writes “Kommersant”.

Earlier in August, U.S. diplomatic posts in the regions of Russia stopped issuing nonimmigrant visas (for tourism, business and educational trips). Delivery of documents resumed on 1 September in Moscow.

Such measures, the state Department explained the intent of the Russian authorities to reduce staff of the American diplomatic missions in the country, the Russian foreign Ministry suggested Washington to reduce the number of staff of the diplomatic mission in the country to 455 people, that is 755 persons, in response to the extension of sanctions against Russia.

The staff of the American Consulate recommended that travellers to apply for permission to enter offices in other States.
