F-22 Raptor
The United States and South Korea began major joint air force exercise of the two countries at the borders of the DPRK. On Monday, December 4, the Agency “Yonhap”.
According to the Agency, the maneuvers involved 230 aircraft and 12 thousand soldiers. On the American side in the flights involved six F-22 Raptors and as many F-35A permanently based in Japan, as well as strategic bombers B-1B Lancer.
The South Korean side has mobilized dozens of fighters and other aircraft types.
“They [the teachings] are aimed at improving all weather, day and night joint air forces of South Korea and the USA”, — stated in the Ministry of defence of the Republic. The Department also noted that allies will conduct drills on various scenarios of war, including strikes against nuclear and missile facilities of North Korea.
The Agency reminds that padeniye maneuvers of the two countries was planned in advance, however, are less than a week after Pyongyang tested a new Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and announced the completion of the “nuclear forces.”
