Stadium in the United States survived after a series of controlled explosions

Abandoned stadium “Silverdome” in city Pontiac of the U.S. state of Michigan stood after a series of controlled explosions. Of the failed attempt of the demolition of the object according to local newspaper the Detroit News.

The stadium was opened in 1975 and continued to work until 2002. Two years ago the local authorities decided to demolish it.

As the channel Fox News, the company Adamo, which carried out the demolition of the stadium, planned to blow up the metal beams that support the dome ring. Engineers expect that after this structure collapses, but the stadium survived.

For work observed by local residents, some of them were disappointed by the lack of spectacle.

November 20 in the U.S. Atlanta was planning destroyed one of the largest indoor stadiums, Georgia Dome, with a capacity of over 70 thousand spectators. It took about 2 tons of explosives.
