The priest from Indianapolis (Indiana, USA) organized a small training for clergy. It is reported by Fox 59.
“Five years ago we could not think of holding such a workshop for the Church,” explained assistant pastor in the Church and event organizer Ben Smith. According to him, the goal of this workshop is to teach the clergy how to handle weapons and to act in the event of a threat to the lives of parishioners and other people.
First class Smith, as well colleagues from across the state and also from neighboring regions. “I want our people to come here [to Church] and felt safe, knew that you can safely pray,” he added.
Course organizers do not hide that they decided to hold training sessions after the execution of the parishioners of the Baptist Church in Texas on 5 November. A man by the name of Devin Kelly entered the Church of the city of Sutherland springs and started shooting at those present at the morning prayer, and then killed himself. His victims were 26 people.
