A quarter of Russians complained to ignore police requests for assistance

Seeking help from the police quarters of Russians was virtually ignored. This is indicated by the results of a poll published on a site “Levada-center” on Tuesday, November 7.

Every tenth of those who appealed to the police study participant agreed with the assumption of sociologists is that his application was treated “without proper attention and problems were solved in an informal way, as they say, “do not podmazhesh — you will not go””.

A third of respondents (33 per cent) considered the ratio of guards to citizens indifferent and formal. However, the proportion satisfied with the work of the police over the last seven years has almost doubled to 46% (if you add up the answers “definitely Yes and rather Yes”). In 2010, expressed as only 27 percent of respondents.

Unhappy with the police, 34 people out of every hundred respondents (2010 — 60 percent).

Every fifth Respondent could not answer the question about his attitude to the bodies of internal Affairs.

Over the past 10 years, according to sociologists, has not changed the proportion of those who openly describes the actions of the police illegal: those 5 percent.

The study, conducted from 24 to 26 October, was attended by 1600 adults from 137 communities in 48 regions of the country.
