Injury of the former candidate in US presidents of Senator Rand Paul turned out to be harder than expected — attacked the neighbor broke his five ribs, three with displacement. About it reports CNN with reference to his advisers.
It is noted that the neighbor attacked the policy intentionally, but his motives are not yet known. Police are investigating the incident. The attacker was detained, but later released on bail of five thousand dollars.
Initially, a 54-year-old Paul found minor injuries, to be hospitalized.
About the attack on the Senator became known in the evening of 4 November. 59-year-old Renee Boucher attacked him in his home in Bowling green (Kentucky).
Republican Rand Paul was a competitor to the party of Donald trump in the presidential campaign of 2016. He refused to race because of the low rating in the polls of sociologists, in the primaries he could count on the support of two percent of the vote.
