The Russian national anthem was on the verge of a ban in the Olympics 2018 in Pyeongchang

The Russian national anthem may be prohibited at the Olympic winter games 2018 in Pyeongchang. Reported by the New York Times, citing sources familiar with the situation.

It is noted that the Russian athletes also may not be admitted to the opening ceremony of the Games. Such sanctions are considered by the representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as punishment for violations the Russians anti-doping rules at the Olympic games-2014 in Sochi.

It is expected that a decision on the admission of the Russian national team to Games in 2018 will be made at the IOC Executive Board in early December.

1 Nov Russian skiers Alexander passenger cars and Evgenia Belova for life deprived the right to participate in the Olympic games for violating anti-doping rules. Their results, shown at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi will be cancelled.
