Moscow. 1 Nov. INTERFAX.RU Forest lake Scanzi a depth of 20 meters went underground in Vyaznikky district, Vladimir region, told “Interfax” on Wednesday the head of the Department of water resources and water management of the regional administration Ivan Shaposhnikov.
He explained that this happened due to the process of the caves, walking in the area.
“As a result of erosion of soil formed cavities which left the water with the fish. To say what will happen with the lake on yet impossible. It is likely that the failure will fill the lake again restored. Currently, the lake is only a funnel,” said he.
Shaposhnikov said that the lake was located near Pivovarska failure similar to sinkholes that formed in 1959. A sinkhole is a sinkhole of natural origin. A funnel occurs when underground water eroding soil and rocks, and the ground falls into the void.
