In Ghana arrested 18-year-old local resident suspected in the abuse of four-year-old neighbor, reports Ghana Crusader.
Girl was raped by 20 October this year. Learning about the incident, the child’s mother went to the village elders, demanding to punish the attacker.
But he said that the suspect is innocent because “he said the local gods.” The incident caused a wide public resonance. In particular, in social networks launched a campaign with the hashtag #JusticeForHer (“Justice”).
It is also noted that people have raised over four thousand dollars for an operation for girls. According to mother, after the incident she could not stand and walk.
The child’s family left the village.
