Moscow. 30 Oct. INTERFAX.RU the attorney — General of Spain, josé Manuel Mas, announced on Monday about filing a lawsuit against Catalan politicians, in relation to the proclamation of the regional Parliament of independence, according to Spanish media.

The attorney General said that we are talking about the charges of sedition, embezzlement of public funds.

According to him, we are talking about the two lawsuits. The first is in respect of the dismissed heads of the Generalitat de Catalunya — will be considered by the National judicial Board. Another lawsuit against members of the Catalan Parliament voted for independence — to be considered by the Supreme court.

In this case, the Prosecutor’s office did not require measures of restraint against the defendants in this case, because those will be able to remain at liberty, awaiting the verdict of the judiciary.

The Spanish government last week sacked the regional government of Catalonia and dissolved the Catalan Parliament, then Madrid took over the management of this Autonomous community. These measures followed the announcement of the Catalan Parliament’s independence.

It is planned that the management of the Catalonia from Madrid will run until the December elections in this Autonomous community.

October 1, Catalonia held a referendum on independence, which were actually broken by law enforcement authorities in Spain and was accompanied by mass unrest, which led to numerous victims. However, about 90% of the referendum participants voted for independence from Spain. The constitutional court of Spain, declared the vote unconstitutional.
