“Matilda” collected for the first weekend about ₽200 million
The film by Alexei Uchitel “Matilda”, released on October 26 for the first weekend has collected 199 million rubles and took second place. This is stated on the portal of the Unified Federal automated system of information about films in cinemas (UAIS).
According to the portal, in total, the film has collected 201,8 mln., including pre-sales. Earlier Alexey Uchitel reported that for the first few days of ticket sales “Matilda” collected 69 million rubles, the Director acknowledged that expectations from the start were more.
First in the rating of films in the weekend was the tale of “the Last hero” — a feature film by Disney in Russia, filmed in partnership with the Studio Yellow, Black & White. He gathered 415,7 million rubles.
As explained by the Master, his film is not enough advertising on television. “In the first weekend, those who wanted to go and watch. But there is still that part of the audience, “forty”, which should lure”, — said the Director. According to him, an audience can be lured with the help of popular television programs.
The movie “Matilda” tells about the relationship of a ballerina of Polish origin Mathilde Kschessinska and the future Russian Emperor Nicholas II. Against the showing of the film was made by the Deputy of the state Duma Natalia Poklonskaya and Orthodox activists.
