Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy at the meeting with the special representative of state Department of Ukraine with Kurt Volker said that Kiev would impose sanctions against Russia’s energy sector. It is reported by TV channel NewsOne.

Another reason for the imposition of sanctions against Moscow, he called the capacity of Russia’s military potential on the border with Ukraine. Parubiy said that the construction of a military base in Voronezh region in the city of Boguchar. “This gives reason to say that Putin continues its aggressive policy against Ukraine and has no plans to change its position,” said Parubiy.

According to him, Ukraine in solidarity with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and opposed the construction of “Nord stream-2”.

The project “Northern stream-2” involves the construction of two threads with a length of 1220 kilometers, and a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year from Russia via the Baltic sea to Germany. The new pipeline will be laid alongside the already existing “Northern stream”. Its construction should begin in 2018 and be completed in late 2019.
