In the state Duma supported the blocking of websites of unwanted organizations without trial

The state Duma on Thursday, on October 26, adopted at first reading amendments to block unwanted websites of organizations without a court decision, with the approval of the attorney General.

The document, which Roskomnadzor will be able to make their own decisions about blocking, was introduced by a group of deputies from three factions — United Russia, just Russia and the Communist party. Before he was approved by the relevant Duma Committee on informality, and on October 26 the amendments were adopted in the first reading. “For” vote of 327 deputies, three abstentions, the correspondent of RBC.

The source of RBC, close to the leadership of the chamber, in turn, said earlier that the amendment was supported by the Kremlin.

After final adoption of the law the Supervisory authority will without a court order to make decisions about blocking the Internet “the information containing appeals to mass riots, extremist activities, participation in mass (public) events held with violation of the established order, materials issued and (or) disseminated by a foreign or international non-governmental organization that is recognized as undesirable,” mentioned in the text of the bill. To lock it will be enough representation of the public Prosecutor or his deputies.

In Russia undesirable recognized 11 organizations, reminded the authors of the explanatory note. The list is published on the website of the Ministry of justice. It includes the Fund “open society” and the “open society Institute — assistance Foundation”, American-Russian Fund on economic and law development, the two British divisions “Open Russia”, the national democratic Institute of international relations, Media Development Investment Fund Corporation “international Republican Institute”, Institute of modern Russia and the black sea trust for regional cooperation.
