The state Department is working on compiling a list of Russians linked to intelligence or defense enterprises to upgrade sanctions against Moscow. This was at the briefing said the official representative of the American foreign Ministry Heather Nauert.
Answering a reporter’s question posed by Congress of the requirement until October 1 to present a list of objects for tougher sanctions, Nauert noted that the failure of the deadline associated with the “complexity of process”. She recalled the position of Secretary Rex Tillerson, who said that “it is necessary to be careful in this matter, it is necessary to develop recommendations in order not to harm allies and partners.”
