The inhabitant of Krasnokamsk will go on trial for the death of HIV-positive son, whom she refused to treat. On Wednesday, October 25, according to the Investigative Committee for the Perm region.
According to investigators, the woman knew that her son was born in 2009 suffered from a dangerous disease, but in the period from 2 June 2014 to 14 August 2017 not drove the child to the receptions to the doctors and gave him medicine. This led to the fact that without treatment the boy had AIDS, and on 14 August he died in his apartment.
28-year-old woman was charged under part 1 of article 109 of the Russian criminal code (“Causing death on imprudence”). The court directed all materials of the investigation on the crime.
Earlier in October, the brotherly district court of the Irkutsk region ordered the local resident to cure my two year-old son with HIV. The woman did not accept the diagnosis and learn on the Internet about the movement of HIV-dissidents (the deniers of the existence of the virus), decided to abandon antiretroviral therapy for herself and her child. In office of public Prosecutor has considered that thus it had violated the rights of her son to health and medical care.
In August at the children’s hospital of St. Petersburg died of AIDS ten-year-old girl. Her parents refused to give her antiretroviral drugs, because they believed the disease was invented. They are also a criminal case under part 1 of article 109 of the criminal code.
