Press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the possible resignation of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, called these rumors “people’s fun”. Thus he commented on the information of TV channel “Rain” that after the presidential elections in March 2018 expected new wave of gubernatorial resignations, and the number of applicants to the dismissal of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko.
“Personnel rumor is a Russian folk fun,” said Sands.
