Died one of the founders of AC/DC’s George young

George Young

The Australian musician of Scottish descent George young died at the age of 70 years. This was reported on Facebook page of the rock band AC/DC on Monday, October 23.

“With a heavy heart we announce the passing of our beloved brother and mentor George young. Without his help and guidance there would be no AC/DC”, — stated in the message.

George young is the brother of Malcolm and Angus Young, the founders of AC/DC. He acted as one of the producers of the collective. In addition, young played guitar with Australian rock band the Easybeats and wrote the lyrics. The team became famous with the hit Friday on My Mind.

The young were born in Scotland and moved to Australia in 1963. In 1964, George became one of the founders of The Easybeats, and ten years later Malcolm and Angus founded AC/DC.
