Defendant on the case Serebrennikov left Russia on a tourist bus
Wanted producer, “the Seventh Studio” Ekaterina Voronova left Russia to Latvia by coach. This is stated in the materials of her case, announced in the Moscow city court, reports TASS on Friday, October 20.
It is noted that Voronov had left the country in may.
On Friday the court considered the appeal against the arrest in absentia and dismissed it. “The decision of the Basmanny court to leave without change, the appeal complaint of protection without satisfaction”, — is spoken in the decree.
The producer is accused of embezzling money allocated by the state for the project “Platform” of artistic Director of “Gogol-center” Kirill Serebrennikov.
On 4 September the Director’s lawyer has accused Voronov of destroying documents proving the innocence of the government.
Artistic Director accused of embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of 68 million rubles. Partners on the case are also the former General Director “the Seventh Studio” Yuri Itin, the General producer Alexey Malopolski, chief accountant Nina Voronova and Masliaev. All except the last, are in custody.
