Gennady Zyuganov
Communist party leader Gennady Zyuganov criticized the intention of the presenter Xenia Sobchak to run for President of Russia. His words leads RIA Novosti on Thursday, October 19.
“I am very serious about people, the country, voters, election. To turn this into a tragicomedy makes no sense”, — the Communist told.
He noted that he had published a book in which he quoted the statement “evil Russophobes”. “And there, in this company, and Xenia, which called our country and its people are genetic trash. I’m not really able to move out… The more [she] wants to become President of the country, giving people and the country such an assessment. I think it is impossible, even in Burkina Faso”, — concluded Zyuganov.
On the eve Sobchak announced the decision to participate in elections of the President of Russia, which will be held in March 2018. She noted that the responsibility belongs to any actions in the field of society, and its participation in the presidential race can be a step on the way to needed in the country change.

Zyuganov ran for President four times: in 1996, 2000, 2008, 2012. In the last election he gained 17.18 percent of votes.
