Named the most dangerous for women cities in the world
MOSCOW, 16 Oct — RIA Novosti. Charity Thomson Reuters Foundation published the list of the world’s cities most dangerous for women.
According to the survey, the most dangerous for women recognized the metropolis Cairo. An honourable second place was shared between Karachi, Pakistan and the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo Kinshasa. The top five also got Delhi (India) and Peru’s capital Lima.
Moscow the drafters of the rating was placed on the sixteenth place.
Safer cities they recognized only Paris, Tokyo and London.
The study was conducted through a survey of experts. The main criteria of assessment of cities was the level of sexual violence, access to health services, prevalence of certain cultural traditions, for example, female circumcision and the practice of marriage against the will of girls, and economic opportunities, including access to education.
