In Sochi started opening ceremony of the world festival of youth
SOCHI, 15 Nov — RIA Novosti. The opening ceremony of the XIX world festival of youth and students (WFMS) started in the ice Palace “Big” in Sochi, the correspondent of RIA Novosti.
Soon the opening was the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The hall was filled with participants more than an hour before the opening. The streets on the way to the Ice Palace was filled with young people from all countries of the world. All of them can be distinguished by a brand festival yellow vests with green stripes.
Each participant in the ceremony received a special interactive bracelet that, according to the organisers, is a part of the show. Prior to the opening of the youth are “warmed up” leading to the stage, offering to do all of the selfie, what with the bracelet, the participants got a special mask.
Russia for the third time in its history takes young people from all over the world to participate in the largest youth event came 20 thousand people from the unprecedented number of countries is 180. From the moment when our country first became the mistress of the world festival (USSR), 60 years. The story was repeated in 1985, and both times the palm branch was given to Moscow. This time the festival was held in Sochi.
Starting Sunday, the festival will last a week. The closing ceremony will take place on 21 October at the ice Palace “Big”.
