Two hundred dogs in the Tver region illegally drugged for profit

In the Tver region, administration of the shelter killed dogs on the basis of an illegal reference. This was reported on the website of the regional Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR) on Friday, October 13.

On this fact criminal case on animal cruelty, which caused their death (part 2 of article 245 of the criminal code). “Are the interrogations of officials of these organizations, seized relevant documentation are produced, the inspection of documents and incidents”, — noted in the text.

As suggested in the TFR, the officials of the company “housing Region”, doing contract catching and content of stray dogs in the shelter in the village Rameshki, decided to increase profits, saving on care and nutrition of animals. Agreeing with the employees of SBI “Rameshkovskaya SBBZH”, the utility received from them of illegal detention of status dogs and, on their basis, from 1 March to 2 September killed a total of 205 Pets.

In the spring of 2016, it was reported about the mass extermination of dogs in a Moscow animal shelter “EKO Veshnyaki”. Attempting to infiltrate into the institution, the animal rights activists staged a rally at the entrance. The shelter staff considered the incident a corporate RAID. The Prosecutor’s office conducted an audit that was initiated four administrative proceedings. The mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin demanded to study the situation with observance of the legislation in all Metropolitan shelters for homeless animals.
