The government of Moscow region reported on the implementation of the program “Bright city”

More than 23 thousands of lights installed and upgraded in the Moscow region since the beginning of the year under the Governor’s program “shining city.” About it “lente.ru” have told in the regional government on Thursday, October 12.

“Only in 2017 it is planned to build new and replace with energy efficient 62,5 thousands of points outdoor lighting,” — said the Minister of energy of the Moscow region Leonid Neganov.

In the framework of 17.5 thousand new lights planned to be installed along regional and municipal roads. Another 45 thousand points outdoor lighting is planned to build and modernize in the framework of municipal programmes, the Minister said.

A separate direction of the program “Light city” is to improve the lighting so-called “places of attraction” — parks, squares, pedestrian and tourist areas. Until the end of 2017, the specialists will arrange for the architectural and artistic illumination of buildings 77 and 55 outdoor lighting of parks, squares and streets.

“For the first nine months improved lighting of the seven “places of attraction” — the square in the village of Sychevo, Volokolamsk district, Park named Mary Scar in the urban district of Khimki, the complex of monuments in the city district Khimki, a Monument to mark the soldiers killed during the great Patriotic war in the village of Malino Kolomna, and of the memorial of Glory in the Queen,” he listed Neganov.

On 9 October the head of the region Andrei Vorobyov instructed the heads of municipalities to pay attention to the need to ensure full operation of the street lighting system.

The program “Bright city” was initiated by the Governor in early 2017 on the basis of residents ‘ complaints. Its objective is the improvement of illumination of streets, roads, yards and public places. Currently, leaders in the construction of new lines are lighting Serpukhov, Istra, Mytishchi, Chekhov and Mozhaisk district, the leaders of modernization — Taganrog, Podolsk, Korolev.
