Rumania refused to allow Russian TV channel license

The Romanian national Council for television and radio rejected the Russian TV channel RTR in obtaining licenses. About it reports the Romanian version of the Radio France Internacionale (RFI).

Member of the Board Valentin Beetle RFI stated that “there is a danger that this channel will provide false information about the European Union and the United States. We are talking primarily about Pro-Russian propaganda materials about the so-called fake news”, he added.

Representatives of RTR told RFI that will continue to seek broadcast licenses.

The possibility of the beginning of broadcasting of RTR in Romania, it became known in August. For leadership positions of the channel was planned to appoint representatives of the RTR Moldova channel, which rebroadcasts programs “RTR-Planeta”. Office RTR scheduled to open in the city of Iasi.
